Eminem – He’s Had A Relapse
Written by isxrc
So I listened to Eminem’s album today after recently seeing his interview on the Jonathon Ross show in the UK. The album is entitled “Relapse” and features 20 tracks from the original white bad boy rapper. The album features his first single “Crack A Bottle”, and the new single “We Made You”. As far as his rhymes go, he is still up there with the best and there are a few good tracks, though not sure if any classics are there.
On his interview Eminem was talking about how he had been sober for a year after a battle with drink and drug abuse. From listening to this album, maybe he should have stuck to the coke and whiskey, and taken a risk instead of taking the “safe” route he looks to have opted for on this latest record.

Once again he teams up with his mentor Dr Dre for tracks entitled “Old Time’s Sake” and “3am”, which was also produced by the former NWA star. As far as collaborations go the album doesn’t go much further.
I’m finding it hard to remember the last great hip hop album, maybe Dre’s Chronic 2001 was the last I can think of. Every new album seems to have less good tracks than the average/bad ones. It’s all becoming more of the same as big record companies churn out artists to pull the Hip/Hop and RnB bandwagon.
Although Eminem still proves that he can MC, the raw hunger seems to have gone and am sure his fans may have expected more. Having said that every single will probably top the charts mainly because his competition nowadays is distinctly average.
